My name is Dylan Finkel.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma, couples, family, and individual therapy in New York and North Carolina. I have had the privilege of assisting my clients in navigating their emotions and supporting their overall mental well-being for five years. Witnessing clients grow and thrive is truly gratifying and inspiring.

At this time, I am currently accepting Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield New York (formerly Empire) insurances, as well as self-pay in New York, and Aetna and Cigna, as well as self-pay in North Carolina. I will begin to accept additional insurances in both New York and North Carolina in the coming months.
My Approach
My experience ranges in working with clients of diverse backgrounds, ages, and life experiences. I utilize a strength-based, integrative approach with clients based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and often implement tenets of psychodynamic techniques, mindfulness, EMDR, and humanism.
I prefer to work as collaboratively as possible with my clients. No one knows your experience better than you do, and I value my clients' input throughout treatment. I work to build understanding with my clients and develop potential solutions to your struggles. I look forward to helping you develop problem solving skills to manage your struggles.

Couples/Family Therapy
Couples and family therapy helps improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. I provide a safe space to address issues and foster understanding and connection.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is designed to assist individuals in processing and healing from traumatic experiences. I provide a safe, supportive space to reduce the emotional impact of trauma to promote healing.
